I'm significantly behind on posting, so hopefully several posts are to follow to catch up to the comedy that is our house.
Boys will be boys...I've never known that to be more true than since living in a house where the females are out numbered by the males. Kenyon and Tayshawn wrestle and fight and "do makrate" (karate...they are obssessed with The Karate Kid with Jayden Smith) allllllll the time. They race and they tickle and Kenyon pretends to lose all sorts of battles.
One day, another football filled Saturday, the whole family was in the living room. Conny and Monte are lounging on the couch, the boys are play fighting on the floor. All of a sudden, Tayshawn rolls away from the scene of the fight, hands between his legs exclaiming "You hurt my Johnny Nuts!" to Kenyon who apparently hurt Tay's...Johnny Nuts. :)
One thing I like to do with Tayshawn is use my phone to take photos. The boy LOVES having his photo taken and then being able to see it immediately after. He also loves putting my cell phone on camera mode and just looking at the screen as he scans the room...crazy kid lol.
When we take the photos, he likes to go through my gallery of pics. My phone is touch-screen, and he loves to use his finger and pull the next photo into place. I had a photo on my phone of myself infront of a mirror (so "myspace", I know!). I think I was trying to get a good look at my hair color...or something. idk. :)
When the photo came up with Tayshawn's swipe, he asked me "Who's that?"
me: it's me
T: no, who is THAT. (pointing at the mirror image)
m: it's ME, that's a mirror.
T: NO! (obviously frustrated) Who. Is. THAT?!
I had tears of laughter streaming down my face...how do you further explain a mirror image to a child?! :)
