The Mouse-Bunny

Last night Conny, Tayshawn and I were the only ones home for dinner. Conny made chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn...and because Tayshawn didn't want chicken, she reheated some spaghetti. Here is the conversation that occured while she made his plate and sat him down at the table:

T: Mom, I'm firsty too.

C: ok...(fixing plate)

T: I want to use the mouse! (pulling decorative straw from drawer)

C: That's a bunny.

T: No, it's a mouse.

C: No, it's a bunny.

T: A mouse!

C: A bunny! (taking his plate to the table) Come eat.

T: But mom, I'm firsty too!

C: Ok, what do you want? Milk?

T: Yeah, milk. No! ......yeah, milk. I want to use the mouse!

C: ok (grabbing straw and pouring milk)

T: (when milk is set in front of him) I have Mouse-Bunny Straw! *laughing at his own funny* haha Mouse *deep breath* Bunny *deep breath* Straw! hahahaha

C & Me: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Me: oh that's going on the blog...

A photo of Tayshawn using the mouse-bunny straw (which, if you notice, IS in fact a bunny)

After I took this photo, he said "I want to see!" I showed him the photo and he said "I want to see me drink!" thinking I had taken a video of him. When I told him it wasn't a video, he was instantly sad and told me "but I want a vimeo..." with the pouty look he's ultimately perfected. This kid never fails to make me smile! :)
