I don't love you...right now.

This is a throw-back...I haven't heard Tayshawn use this one in a while...no wait, he used it last week. hahaha

Tayshawn is very picky with his affection. You can usually tell if he hasn't had a nap, because any attempts to talk to him are met with a scowl and a *hmph* and if he's grumpy, you get no hugs or kisses, not even a hello. Last week, I was in the kitchen and I called out "hey Tayshawn...!"

T: what?!
Me: I love you!
T: I don't love you. I only love mom.
Me: *rolls eyes*

This is not the first time that Tayshawn "didn't love me". One of the first times he used this line on me, it was followed by "asissa, I don't love you right now but I love you tomorrow..." At least the kid is honest...now if only adults could get away with that! haha :)

Last night, I was sitting at the table with Tayshawn. In the kitchen behind me were Conny and Monte. As I turned around to look behind me, I see Conny and Monte in a loving embrace (insert "aww" here). From the living room comes Kenyon, into the kitchen, singing "smack that, all on the floor, smack that, give me some more..." and I burst into laughter. Imagine what I'm seeing: husband and wife, hugging and kissing after a long day apart, eldest son singing the background music of "Smack That" by Akon. Didn't quite fit! Monte hugged his eldest son and said "oh the innocence of children..." and isn't it the truth?! :)

I swear, our house is a riot!
